The second round of the NCAA Women's Tournament is upon us and Notre Dame (27-6) is set to take on Mississippi (24-8) today at 2 p.m. at Purcell Pavilion for the right to advance into the Sweet Sixteen round of March Madness.
The No. 2 seed Irish advanced with an 81-67 victory over 15-seed Kent State on Saturday afternoon followed by the seven-seeded Rebels dispatching 10-seed Marquette, 67-55.
